Go-Go
Wow, it has been a while since my last entry. It’s been a BUSY couple of months with more traveling than I’ve done in a while. And without a doubt, I’ve loved EVERY minute of it. Joshua Tree for camping with friends, Austin for the Austin City Limits Music Festival, and recently, Tucson for 2 shows: One at The Big Ass Music Fest (BAM) and one at Plush (thank you Kris!). Whew. September has definitely been a crazy month and with another trip coming up this weekend, it looks like October (2 shows, 1 HUGE dual-30th birthday party, and my favorite, HALLOWEEN) is gonna be NUTZzzzz. Just the way I like it:)
With all the “go-go here” and “go-go there” (viva Chantalle!), there hasn’t been much time to reflect and I’ve felt like a zombie (a very happy zombie) moving through each day guided by a cup of coffee. This is not to say I haven’t been absorbing, because there has been MUCH to soak up, and alas, the saturation has given way to overflow. That, my friends, is what brings me here to the spare.
So what happened? Well, in a nutshell:
Johsua Tree: Beeeeeeeeeeeeez, Shin, Sun, Beer.
Austin City Limits Fest: Baby powder, Franken-Cyn, Sun, Poker.
Tucson: Mom-n-Dad, Biosphere 2, Music, Bärenjäger.
I realize some of these may seem abstract to many of you and, well, isn’t it fun to wonder what they mean? Good, I thought so. Rest assured, a good time was had by all and as Mike can attest to: baby powder = happiness. That one was free.
So Halloween, anyone? Costume ideas? I better start pouring some brain juice into that cup. What’s it gonna be this year? Hmmmmmmm...*insert internal dialogue here* If it didn’t get so cold here (yes, it gets cold in Phoenix) I’d venture into dresses because the possibilities are simply…fabulous. In my teen years, you couldn’t force me into one but now I find myself daydreaming about Patsy Cline and, well, let’s just say the thought of crinoline is suddenly intensely appealing. So come Hallow’s Eve, y’all better queue up yer cameras ‘cause Cameo’s gonna be doing some walking after midnight, out in the moonlight, in her new beaded party dress.
